Overview

Arcanum is an immersive Virtual Reality arena combat experience with an emphasis on hands-on spell casting. The Elemental Gods have trapped you in mortal combat to earn your freedom from them through battle against other prisoners, and even your friends. Through the lobby system, players are able to create specific instances so they may play with friends, or be pit against a random opponent. Players will battle one another through online multiplayer by casting spells using their hand gestures rather than relying on traditional button presses. Conquer your opponents by creating portals to move across platforms of varying heights, in order to take control of the battlefield. Choose from several different element types, each with their own advantages and spells, to defeat your foe and claim victory in the arena. Each arena will be based on different elemental types, and each element will have a different effect on the other, so be sure to choose your specializations carefully.

Release Information

Arcanum will be released on Steam as a Virtual Reality title, which requires some form of VR headset (Oculus Quest, Valve Index, etc.). It may potentially be released on the Oculus platform as well, though not for its initial launch. Arcanum will be released around Q2 of 2024.
